FAULT LINE

'Fault Line' is a series of self-portraits that explore the stereotypes and tropes that are often associated with black and white culture, and the different personas the artist could possibly adopt whilst jumping between this invisible faultline of cultural divide.

Drawing from her own personal experiences of being someone of dual heritage, the artist explores how people have tried to pigeonhole her into one of these two categories of being either black or white, and has tried to explore the pressure she feels about how she should class herself, as these experiences have in turn made her question her identity and sense of belonging.
