ABOUT CHARLOTTE JOSEPH

Charlotte Joseph is a 19 year old freelance photographer based in London who is also a second-year photography student studying BA Hons Photography at London South Bank University. Within the photographic field, Charlotte enjoys exploring all areas of photography but excels most within the practices of both documentary and portrait photography. Within these practices, she is interested in exploring and addressing issues of identity and racial politics, which can be seen throughout her final projects for both her first and second year work, 'Immigrant' and 'Fault Line'.

Charlotte's passion for photography first started when she was young, watching her father take snapshots at family events and gatherings. When realising that you could freeze a moment in time and return to it repeatedly, Charlotte fell in love with the idea, and took photos at every opportunity, which developed an interest in starting a career in photography in her later life.
